Did Your Tax Preparer Sign?
Paid tax preparers are required by law to sign federal and state tax returns. They are also required to include an IRS Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) on federal tax returns they prepare for a fee. Please fill out the complaint form if your tax preparer did not sign your tax return by name (typed or handwritten), signed it "self prepared" or signed it with a business label.
