Attending the IRS Tax Forum in San Diego?

CTEC is scheduled to do a joint presentation with the California Franchise Tax Board (FTB) at the IRS Nationwide Tax Forum in San Diego. The presentation will count for one state hour of continuing education.

CTEC will discuss…

 

·       Its performance review by the California State Legislature scheduled for 2015.

·       California Senate Bill 484 and what it means to tax preparers.

·       Changes to CTEC policy and procedures.

·       Overview of the Tax Preparer Code of Conduct.

 

FTB will discuss…

 

·       California tax law updates.

·       Enforcement efforts on tax preparers.

 

The San Diego forum will be held September 17-19^th at the Town & Country Resort. The CTEC/FTB presentation is scheduled for Thursday, September 19^th at 10:10 am. CTEC Registered Tax Preparers (CRTPs) who attend the forum can also earn up to 18 federal hours. If you plan to attend, please remember to provide your CTEC number to the IRS when you register. If you do not give the IRS your CTEC number, you may not get credit for the courses you take.
