Approved Education Provider Lists
Listed are qualifying and continuing education course providers approved by the California Tax Education Council (CTEC).
Each approved course is assigned a CTEC number and approved for a specific number of continuing education hours. Contact the Provider for specific course information. Individuals interested in becoming tax preparers should request from CTEC the application packet to become a tax preparer.
On completion of the course, Providers are required to furnish each student a Certificate of Completion (either for 60 Hours of QE or 20 Hours of CE) containing the following information:
The information below is required on all certificates:
- Student Name
- Provider Name
- Course Name or Description
- CTEC Course Number
- Number of Federal Hours Awarded (if applicable)
- Number of California Hours Awarded (if applicable)
- Date of Course Completion
- Signature of Instructor or CTEC Administrator
